Dear John & Wendy Rocca,
I received your box today in the mail. I can’t thank you enough for the support you have provided to our company. Our soldiers were very happy to receive the items that you sent us. It is very nice to know that there are people that still support our military today. I pray that God will bless you and your family and again I can’t thank you enough for what you are doing for us.

John & Wendy,
We have continued to receive the military care packages you and your organization send. As you might imagine, the battle rhythm here is intense. I’m not sure how many people thank you, so let me speak for the group and express our gratitude. God Bless you for remembering us.
Remember to stay strong, stay motivated and have A Fine Navy Day!

John and Wendy,
Thank you very much for your care package. We are extremely grateful.
I know many soldiers in Afghanistan live on relatively large posts.
We, however do not. I’m a medic on a Special Forces team and we are out by ourselves. We were able to pick up the package by travelling an hour to a semi big base. It’s not that bad out here though. I think our biggest frustration is our restraints for our rules of engangement. We really want to take the fight to the enemy and we don’t have the freedom to do what we would like. But we’re part retarded, give us no food, water, any sort of amenities and let us fight….we’re happy as can be 😉 It’s so great for us to have Patriots back home who support our service. Knowing there are Americans who suppport means more than anything. Thank you for YOUR service.

John and Wendy,
I am a soldier (Medic) currently in Afghanistan who recently recieved two packages from Operation American Soldier. I find it baffling the kindness people like you have for those you do not know and it gives me hope for the job we are trying to do here. As a Medic I see and deal with alot of needy locals who dont have what we would consider anything. Asking for a portable radio or a pen seems to be the limits of their needs. So when I opened the boxes you sent i took to heart and thanked god that their are people out there that understand what we are doing and care. Thank you so much for everything you do. You guys are Angels.
Sincerly,
Spc Luke

First and foremost let me start out by saying thank you. Without people like you that support us our job over here would be ten times harder. My name is SSG Counter and I have been in the Army for 8 years. I have two beautiful daughters and a wife who is the love of my life. I am from the cold plains of central Kansas, which it seems every year gets colder and colder during the winter months.
I would like to take this time to tell you a little more about myself since the letters I have received have really given me a better understanding of what you like to do. I love to collect football cards and have had a collection for about 20 years now just sitting around collecting dust. I also am a big fan of hot rods, and I am a current owner of a 1973 Ford Mustang Mach One that my wife bought for me on my last deployment. The car is in great shape and never let the state of Kansas, even though in the Army it has been really hard to get the time to fix her up; one day I hope to send all of you pictures.
Now I want to take this time to again thank you for all you have done and shared with me in letters and pictures. Mail out here is very rare, since our location is a little farther than normal but know that we are all doing great and with the packages you sent, it felt like Christmas for all of us here, and we needed that. It feels really good to hear from true Americans, and I wish all of you the best and hope to hear from you when you get a chance. This is my email account that I am sending this to you on so please don’t be shy and email whenever you get bored, a free moment, or even need to let off some steam, lol.
GOD BLESS all of you and have a great day.
SCOUTS OUT
SSG Counter, Russell
